Accessible and Modern Website Redesign for Towne Restoration

Towne-Restoration's accessible and modern website redesign shown on laptop, iPad and mobile.

The recently redesigned website for Towne Fire and Water Damage Restoration is responsive and easily accessible for all users. Towne was looking to update their website to ensure it was easy to update while showcasing their services. The redesign also needed to be ADA accessible and easy to navigate to allow for a seamless browsing experience.

Below are the features Digital Hill used to help the Towne website redesign stand out.

WordPress CMS

To start with, the entire Towne Restoration website is built using WordPress. WordPress offers a reliable and effective content management system (CMS) through its open-source software. The open-source software offers various plugins and extensions to customize your website to suit your needs. Additionally, the WordPress backend is intuitive and user-friendly, which is crucial as the Towne team updates its blog page regularly. Not to mention, WordPress offers automatic updates for plugins and themes, which ensures that the website always runs as it should.

Blog Page

As part of the website redesign, Towne Restoration wanted a space to share their knowledge. Thus, a blog section was added. This allows the Towne team to publish news and crucial information for their customers. Not only does this feature allow Towne to share their knowledge with their audience, but it also offers visitors tips for protecting their homes. With topics covering flooding basements to insurance policy details, Towne is securing their place as experts in the damage restoration industry.

Modern Layout and Navigation

As part of the redesign, Digital Hill wanted to bring the new Towne Restoration website into the digital era. To do this, we used a simple design utilizing the brand colors to create a clean yet modern aesthetic. This creates a cohesive look throughout the website. The homepage hosts everything visitors need, from a slideshow of services to a clear map showing the coverage area. This enables visitors to quickly see if they want to learn more while offering clear CTA’s throughout so navigation is easier than ever.

Easy Estimates

To make things even easy for any website visitors, Digital Hill added a simple yet effective ‘Get an Estimate’ option. By clicking the button, users are taken to a form created using Gravity Forms. Here they can input their contact details, including an address if they wish. Then they select which service they require from the dropdown and can even attach photos to get a more accurate estimate. This then automatically sends to the Towne team, who can then quickly respond to the query.

AccessiBe

One of the last features we included on the Towne Restoration website is the AccessiBe Plugin for ADA compliance. This WordPress plugin allows websites to easily stay on top of ADA and WCAG compliance regulations. Each day AccessiBe runs a compliance check, thus ensuring that any new website additions like blogs or news updates are also compliant. This helps take off the stress of compliance issues while ensuring that everyone can easily access the website. On the user side, the accessibility interface allows users to change settings to help them with navigation. By using the blue accessibility button in the bottom left, they can enable text to speech, increase the text size or change the colors to make it easier to read. These changes are then saved for future use of the website on that browser and device.

With their newly redesigned website, Towne Fire and Water Damage Restoration can keep their current and potential customers updated with ease. Visitors to the website can also easily access information about their services and request an estimate for their needs from anywhere. This not only helps to boost their customer base but also helps Towne stay ahead of the competition.
